Caller is concerned about man who is selling fruit n veg from pallets o/s 188c Halfway St, Sidcup (Old William Hill Shop)…this is causing an obstruction on f/way....callers son has tripped over because of this.
He says that at night the man is leaving the pallets stacked up on the highway overnight and, he feels that he is not genuine and possibly does not have a licence to do this.
He said that last week he was set up further down the road, but is now o/s the co-op in halfway street trying to get trade...

It is not just the fruit and veg selling that we have been informed about but unfortunately he leaves his fan once he is emptied it down or side streets creating quite a blockage

This guy is doing a great job offering a good service., selling fresh produce. He is licensed to sell issued by the Council.
He also contributes to a local food bank.
For those who have any concerns at least speak to the man before making unsubstantiated complaints.
By the way, Bexley Council have approved the William Hill shop becoming a takeaway pizza outlet. I suspect after a while you’ll be wish the fruit and veg man was there!
