Tables and chairs on pavement

Reported via mobile in the Other street furniture category anonymously at 19:37, Tuesday 20 April 2021

Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later

I was having my hair done in the oval hairdresser and right outside the window the restaurant next door has placed rows of tables and chairs. I understand it has been difficult for business but the tables far exceed the boundary of the restaurant - they are completely blocking the area between the flower beds so already creating a detour to get in to get my hair done - as I was having my hair done (coloured with foils so not very attractive) a table, drinking wine, were just sitting watching me! This is not very nice or acceptable to be gawped at when you feel vulnerable. Surely the tables should be confined to outside of their own premises and not strung along the parade. It appears that they intend this to be a permanent feature the way it’s set up?
