Public litter bin fox problem

Reported via desktop in the Damage to litter bin category anonymously at 11:53, Thursday 8 April 2021

Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later

The yellow public litter bin outside 103 Bexley Lane, Sidcup DA14 4JJ (by the B14 bus stop) has a fox problem. Foxes are getting into the bin through the two openings and removing contents including fast food wrappings and dog mess bags. The rubbish is then left by the foxes on the front garden of our house and on the pavement & grass verge. This is happening on a regular basis, sometimes night after night (I have seen the foxes). The unsightly & unhygienic rubbish on our front lawn has to be picked up by us and placed back in the public litter bin. Please can you replace this public litter bin with a fox-proof public bin, as this situation is not tolerable. Other recent items taken from the litter bin by the foxes and left on our front lawn include two empty shampoo bottles, an empty breakfast cereal box and a full bag of lettuce.
