A number of dead fish in the river by the bridge.
Reported via desktop in the Dead animal category anonymously at 11:00, Thu 1 April 2021
Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 2647014.
I walk there almost daily but have not seen this before today. There’s a lot of rubbish in the river and the fish look injured, with blood on them.
Updates
-
Just past the bridge there are a very large (hundreds) of fish probably tench which cannot swim up or down stream due to lack of water and debris that lies to either end particularly under the bridge. Many people have been standing watching the fish that have been there for some days now. I know this has been reported before, but with no rain there is a serious problem that they will all die.
