Road cracked, subsiding and a pothole developing.
Reported via desktop in the Damaged road category anonymously at 08:59, Sun 21 March 2021
Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 2622853.
The downhill side of the road nearest my property is cracked and subsiding over an approximate eight metres length and a pothole is now developing in recent weeks. This section has been replaced a few years ago but was obviously inadequately installed as the road is breaking up again. The vibration felt through my property at the time of reporting this defect a few years ago is still felt when buses pass by always at speed. The vibration causes the house to judder and was contributory to cracks appearing in the exterior wall coating which have been repaired. The whole road surface from including the junction of Birch Grove down to Wendover Road should be resurfaced in my opinion. Please undertake a proper reinstatement and repair of the subbase and road surface. On a side note, can traffic calming please be considered along Westwood Lane as cars, motorbikes and buses regularly exceed the speed limit in both directions.
