Rubbish STILL outside in bins on the street
Reported via desktop in the Street cleaning and litter category anonymously at 18:38, Wed 17 March 2021
Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 2615804.
I don’t know why this property gets away with leaving their bins out on pavement . Usually overflowing with beer cans . Smelly and not nice when walking kids to school. They have very large front garden they can put bins in. I get letters from council about overgrowing vegetation ( nice yellow flowers) and these dirty people get away with this .

Still leaving bins on pavement and not putting back in their large front garden . I suppose as it’s house of multiple occupancy no one takes responsibility for putting them in and out so lazy people just leave them out .

Still no change what is the point of having this website if nothing is done. Look today black bags bins shoe boxes where someone has brought??? Lots of new trainers. It's a joke when others get letters for things they doing wrong.

I am attaching a photo of the pavement outside 6 Oaklands Road. This is how it looks today Tuesday 27 April 2021 after the bin collection has been done today. Bexley Council need to contact the landlord of this property. We cannot find his contact details whereas you, as the Council can. This needs to be resolved. There is a thread of complaints on here going back to March and nothing has been done. It is the Council's responsibility to deal with this by dealing direct with the landlord. Our next option is to contact local media to inform them that Bexley Council has done nothing about it in over a month. All the while the neighbourhood is blighted by this eyesore.

4 May ...still as bad ...Bin men here tomorrow but probably won’t remove and I don’t blame them. I wouldn’t touch it either . Think I would just throw it in their front garden .but they so dirty they probably wouldn’t care .

Because the Council have done nothing whatsoever about the rubbish outside 6 Oaklands Road and there were high winds and rain yesterday, the mess has deteriorated. Can someone from Bexley Council respond to this thread please? Is anything going to be done?

Been bad since March and nothing done about it . Same as house further down road . You see council come and clear it then builds up again . These tenants don’t care. Don’t pay rent . Don’t care what people think so no good trying to speak to them . What a shame such a lovely house is being wrecked by these people and owner is probably earning a packet and doing nothing .

Please please please get this rubbish removed and some kind of warning notice to the landlord who should be taking responsibility for this disgraceful scene . This will attract rats and is effecting everyone who lives in the vicinity.

Actually since January 2020 (see link), 16 months and no action. Continue to leave wheelie bins throughout the year and almost continuously rubbish across the pavement!

Time to take action into residents own hands I think

Finally poor dustmen must have cleared this yesterday but bins still left on pavement so obviously no one has spoken to tenants or as usual they just ignore and don’t bother to put in front garden like everyone else

Completely agree, the bins only have to be moved a few meters, they are still obstructing the pavement illegally, surely they can manage that without external support? Who paid for the removal of all that waste, I hope it was the landlord! What is the fine for fly tipping?

And here we go again, bins still in the street abs guess what starting to over flow! Has the landlord been warned? Has he been fined? Have the council asked the residents to put their bins back into their property so they stop causing an obstruction? Why no updates?

Wow! Bins are off the pavement! Let it be known that on this day, Tuesday 18th May 2021 a huge cloud over Brook street was lifted. Brilliant, shame it took 18 months but it’s so much nicer now walking past without having to avoid the rubbish and bins. Let’s hope the message sticks
