Fly tipping in alleyway behind Vickers Road

Reported via mobile in the Alleyway category anonymously at 13:32, Monday 15 February 2021

Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later

Building waste and old tyres are being continually dumped in the alleyway behind Vickers Road and St John’s Road. A number of rats and foxes have been seen in this area since the rubbish had started to be dumped and additional refuse is being added to it frequently since restrictions made to the council dump.

Updates

  • Still awaiting any information about this from the council with more flytipping taking place on a daily basis adding to the issue.

  • Still open, via questionnaire, 16:18, Monday 15 March 2021

  • Still awaiting any updates on this situation. Every day additional fly tipping occurs and the amount of vermin being spotted by residents is a health and safety hazard. It would be interesting to know if this issue was occurring in a more white middle class area as opposed to an area with a high number of social housing whether the local council would be taking a greater interest in the safety of its residents.

  • I think the person should move who put the comment about white people think its disgusting. I'm a homeowner and it makes no difference if you own or rent a complaint is still the same they obviously don't know london very well, the fly tipping is done by most of the people who live here I know cos I've seen it
