Damaged wall due to car hitting it.
Reported via mobile in the Obstructions on pavements and roads category anonymously at 22:05, Sun 14 February 2021
Sent to London Borough of Bexley 14 hours, 37 minutes later. Report ref: 2545708.
A while ago a car lost control on the corner into St John's Road and hit the wall to St John's Court car park . Apparently you have advised that it is the responsibility of the owner of the parking space next to the wall to fix it. This isn't shown on the deeds to the property. In any case, the property is rented and we are having trouble contacting the owner, so, I ask for your help in doing so if this is the case. The wall is extremely dangerous and unstable with more bits crumbling away with every bit of weather we have. Also, I would like to ask about works that have recently taken place in the car park which none of the residents were informed about. I understand that approval is needed for any ground work carried out in your Borough and therefore I ask you why residents were not told that thay would not be able to access, apparently private property, for what turned out to be best part of a week? It seems grossly unfair that in some cases, as residents, this court is deemed to be private and we must therefore address all issues ourselves until it's something that the council wants or agreed to, then we are not even informed or asked if this is convenient. Several properties have has to find last minute parking arrangements on an already over crowded road without any warning that their 'private property' would not be available to them. (Again I have attached pictures). I would really appreciate a response as soon as possible as I have contacted the council on the 8th & 22nd of January and they have not responded.
