Large and Small Tree Branches Obstructing Pavement

Reported via desktop in the Obstructions on pavements and roads category anonymously at 16:24, Monday 1 February 2021

Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 2516941.

The pavement in front of 186 and 188 Main Road is covered with large and small tree branches, and heavy leaves. The branches and leaves are dropping onto the pavement from unkept trees in the front garden of 186 and 188 Main Road. This debris makes walking on the pavement difficult, and is dangerous for senior citizens. Can the council clean the pavement, and ask the homeowners of 186 and 188 Main Road to prune their trees properly so this ongoing issue can be correctly eliminated? Thank you.

  • There is still a very thick layer of dead leaves, and large tree branches along the pavement in front of 186 & 188 Main Road. Both the pavement should be cleaned up, and the large trees trimmed back, to address the problem correctly. It would also help to ask the current residents to pay more attention to the pavement in front of their house.
