  • Hi , i reported this noisy /loose manhole cover a month ago , now its 22- february 2021 , i noticed the day after on 26-1-21 , they had put some TARMAC just over the top to reduce the noise when cars, buses , drive over it, maybe as temporary repair, - i know it takes time planning it around the weather and cost of repairing , but over the past few weeks the noise was still happening , later in evening times when i walk past . Today in the afternoon i walked past it , NOT YET REPAIRED, its NOISEY , and AROUND THE EDGES THE OLD TARMAC IS BROKEN UP AND SOME LUMPS ARE FALLING FURTHER INTO THE EDGES , THE METAL COVER IS ALL EXPOSED WITH LESS TARMAC AROUND IT, some tarmac is sinking into the SHALLOW GAPS /HOLES around it, THIS IS BECOMING DANGEROUS IF A CAR OR CYCLIST / BIKER, WAS TO HAVE AN ACCIDENT , I WILL PHONE UP THE COUNCIL AGAIN , AS I CAN'T REPLY BACK TO THE EMAIL I GOT BEFORE. The Estate Agent shop by the manhole cover may not have reported it , BUT I HAVE, i'm just a man walking past the noise some time, these manholes some times break up, and become noisy, its happened a couple of years ago in Welling High Street.
