Surround of manhole cover is breaking up and cover sinking.

Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later

This manhole is just before the traffic lights after the Poundland shop. The surrounding tarmac is seriously breaking up and the whole thing is sinking. The same thing is happening to a manhole on the opposite side of Bellegrove Road very close to Welling Library. These defects have been getting worse over the past week.

  • I saw this today (Saturday, 20th February). It’s a wonder that the council isn’t being sued for either damage to a car or a cyclist going over the handlebars and being injured. TFL bus drivers must have reported this dangerous defect!!
