Pothole appearing where there is a leak

There has been a leak in the road for around 2 years- Thames Water are aware but are apparently awaiting council approval to fix this. Due to the recent weather, there is now a hole / pot hole that wasn’t there before. This is outside number 87 Mayplace Road East.

The hole has increased in size. I have heard cars frequently hitting it & it sounds like it could cause significant damage. There are bits of road everywhere from this. This is due to a water leak reported to Thames Water several times in the past years, who have said they are awaiting permission from Bexley Council to fix.

The water that is leaking from this large pothole is freezing and causing danger when getting on and off driveways. I reported this leak to Thames Water over 2 yrs ago.

The pot hole is worse and now windows shake when buses or lorries go over it. Spoke to Council and they advised it is Thames Water issue. This need to be sorted as causing damage to cars and now the houses!!!
