Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later
All the trees on this green verge needs to be cut back/pruned. I have lived here since 1983 and I have never seen the trees pruned. But decades ago my neighbour did ask the Council to cut back the tree that was outside their house, due to a branch growing towards their house, instead the council cut down a smaller tree that was adjacent and was not causing a problem. To this day they have had no luck from the Council in correcting their mistake. There are too many large trees on this small verge, and when the leaves fall it’s like a golden carpet everywhere; on the green verge; the pavements; the roads and in the front gardens, on the forecourt of the flats, and when it rains it’s like your walking on an ice rink - it is so slippery. On 2 occasions I have opened my front door to a foot deep of leaves. It seems like where I live is a vacuum to the leaves. This is not funny and hard work for someone who is getting on in age. All I ask/we ask is that the Council is a bit more proactive when it comes round about this time of the year; that the leaves are maintained on a regular basis, that the trees are either cut down or pruned back. Last week Monday I 'phoned the Council to say I had 3 bags of leaves for the council to collect. I 'phoned again last week Thursday stating I had now 4 bags and yesterday I left a message stating the bags have still not been picked up and I now have 5 bags for you to collect waiting outside my font garden. It would be much appreciated if someone could resolve these issues - the trees, the leaves and the bags or to respond to this message. Thank you.
