Wheelie bins, bags and boxes of rubbish littered on the pavement outside number 6 Oaklands Road. The bins are never taken in to the garden and the residents are increasingly placing loose rubbish on the pavement next to them. The rubbish and bins cause an obstruction to people walking past, people on mobility scooters and visually impaired people.
Reported via mobile in the Obstructions on pavements and roads category anonymously at 08:56, Mon 5 October 2020
Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 2324710.
This is a persistent problem as the residents of that property do not always put their rubbish directly in the bins and never remove the bins from the pavement after they’ve been emptied. It causes an obstruction and is also unsightly, smelly and unhygienic.

I see the black bags have gone thanks you but would you please inform the residents to remove their bins from the foot path after collection tomorrow in the same way the rest of the borough do.
They have left them on the footpath for many months yet have plenty of room on their garden.
Thank you

The residents continue to leave their bins in the street. Has anyone official spoken to them or the landlord for breaching the law?

Nothing has been done about these bins, they remain permanently positioned on the public footpath. Why the council ignore it is beyond me

Still open, via questionnaire -
Although I live in Izane Road I regularly have the misfortune of having to pass 6 Oaklands Road on my way to the Broadway. Today, not only were the 5 bins still on the pavement with accompanying rubbish, there were also 3 filthy mattresses. It's utterly disgusting and needs to be sorted as a matter of urgency.

Complete agree they are an utter disgrace, and the council do nothing. Why they are not fining the landlord is beyond me. Pic for a few days ago

Bins overflowing as usual, it’s basically fly tipping, it is unpleasant for anyone to walk past and an embarrassment to the street. I will be writing to the local councillors investigate why this is being ignored for nearly a year with no updates, before ‘fixmystreet’ you guys used to be very reposnsive.
