Arrogant and rude reply
Reported in the Obstructions on pavements and roads category anonymously at 20:15, Tue 15 September 2020
Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 2296610.
Please see reply telling me to pay out more money to the council for a bigger drive. With the comment “Problem solved” I think this is a disgusting reply of pure rudeness. Life is hard enough as it without reply’s like this. Do you really think I would take the time out of my already stressful life to let the council know that by putting this bollard in is causing us a nightmare. It is so unfair what you have done to us. I find it a total insult that I pay nearly £260 a month council tax and get a bollard Plonked in an area of pure inconvenience. But you don’t care that I have to walk outside my door everyday with grass over grown and a street full of weeds plus 3ft of tree growing from the base of the tree directly outside my house that also obstructs my view when coming out of my drive. Do you not think that is more important to look after the up keep of the road then placing bollards in a street that has lived without them for years beforehand? We are living in an uncertain world at the minute with this on going pandemic and people are losing their jobs, so don’t you think it is really insensitive behaviour to send buy another drive, problem solved. I would like a reply to this message with the name of the person who sent that reply.

You do know this a public site and anyone with an account can comment...........plenty of people have been in you position but regardless it is absolutely black and white. Grass is not for driving on, concrete reinforced crossover is. No excuses for driving over the grass, end of story. It makes our neighbourhoods look a total mess in the winter and makes the footways slippery with mud.
