Humps in the road shaking house and foundations

Reported in the Other street defect category anonymously at 16:21, Sun 28 June 2020

Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 2176313.

There are two humps in the road at the intersection of Inglewood Road and Mayplace Road East. Buses, lorries and other heavy traffic drive straight over the bumps at full speed, shaking the building where I live. The place literally booms several times EACH TIME, and I can feel the floor shake. The booming wakes me up in the early hours and early morning, often five or six times a night, and am I chronically tired!

There is no sign telling traffic to slow down, and I don't see what purpose these humps serve as they're not very large or noticeable.

Can the road not be flattened out? It's only a small section of road, so should not cost much or take much time.
