Overgrown fir trees not maintained

Reported in the Private property category anonymously at 13:53, Tuesday 2 June 2020

Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later

The property at the back of my garden has overgrown unpruned fir trees (3-4 of them). The house has been empty for 2 years so no maintenance carried out. The fir trees have killed a honey suckle that has been in my garden for years plus other plants directly under the trees. My paving slabs are also lifting. The constant debris from the branches hanging over my garden are difficult to maintain. I also need to replace fencing but difficult to do this when trees need cutting back. My neighbours either side are having the same issues. We are unable to discuss/complain to the owner as they are not residing there

  • Can you please update me regarding my complaint. I have had garden work carried out this week and the landscaper said the trees need to be cut back. They are in bad condition and way too high which is a risk to properties if they fall. The property has been empty for 2 years so the owners need to be traced. Myself and my neighbours are unable to grow any flowers or plants and the falling debris are going to damage my new lawn. My neighbour contacted Bexley Council last year and still no update which is unacceptable!
