Fallen slippery berries

We love the way this tree looks but it has been planted in the wrong place and needs a wider grass area underneath for the berries to fall and be absorbed into the ground. I have slipped and fallen over hurting my ankle and we have seen other people slip over on the berries as they cover a large part of the pavement. We live close to the tree and shoes must be taken off before entering our home especially when the berries are falling as they stain carpet.
