Continuous litter near the ramp

Reported via mobile in the Parks and open spaces category anonymously at 12:27, Sunday 13 September 2026

Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 10090480.

Dear Council Team, I am writing to raise a concern about the continuing littering in the area, which is becoming increasingly depressing and frustrating for local residents. Despite the ongoing efforts to keep the area clean, the litter continues to accumulate, particularly around the corner near the ramp. I have noticed that there is no bin in this particular location, and I wonder whether installing one there might help to reduce some of the problem. However, I also feel that a more proactive deterrent may be needed. The issue seems to be particularly noticeable on Friday afternoons when groups of young people gather in the area. Would it be possible to arrange for someone to check the area around this time, even occasionally, to discourage littering and anti-social behaviour? Alternatively, could the Council consider installing CCTV or another form of monitoring if this is appropriate? I appreciate that there may be practical or legal considerations, but something needs to change as the current situation is having a negative impact on the appearance of the area and the enjoyment of it by local residents. Could you please let me know whether the Council could consider: installing a bin near the ramp; carrying out occasional checks, particularly on Friday afternoons; and/or looking into CCTV or another suitable deterrent? I would really appreciate it if this could be looked into and if you could advise what action may be possible. Thank you for your help. Kind regards, Alex
