Dreadful State of Area Reported by Maria Pamphlett at 11:24, Tue 29 December 2020 Over the past 10 years the general state of the park area has greatly deteriorated. So many trees are felled and many fall due to harsh storms and are all are left to rot, brambles are not cut back and are greatly taking over the grassed areas and the mud bath left from the works carried out to the new bike area is a disgrace. Today I have been informed that many of the trees surrounding the new bike area are to be felled due to the leaves causing the drainage system to fail. It beggars belief that this issue was not realised at the initial planning stage. I am aware that eight new trees have been erected on the grassed area, yet I am disturbed that many more trees will be lost and will not be replaced in the ancient wooded area of the park and will eventually be lost for future generations. Can you inform me if there are any plans to replant the trees that have already been lost and are planned to be felled, for the clearing of the rotting trees left at the edges of footpaths around the entire woods and the cutting back of the brambles that are threatening to take even more of the grassed area?
