Public footway slippery moss/algae

Reported anonymously at 14:46, Sat 21 November 2020

We live on the terrace which is on the steps which is a public footway and on the "green chain walk" the steps are now covered with slippery algae/moss which is unsightly and potentially dangerous. The council do periodically blow leaves and litter from the steps but the algae/moss ideally needs scraping and treating. With the dampness of winter the problem will only get worse. The terrace runs from door numbers 132 to 112 we live at 122. I do try to keep the steps clean and tidy but I'm now retired and it's physically becoming more difficult to keep on top of. We would greatly appreciate your help in dealing with this matter asap. Many thanks Steve & Audrey Townsend
